Brad is the owner of a rental biking system in Orlando. He is the owner of multiple companies that serve similar purposes.

- I found him online and been emailing each other ever since
- He did me the favor of sharing his basic model plan for the company. His return is to hopefully help him expand his own product
- He is already established in the market. He will be a great asset.
Jake is an advertising student here at UF. He is a Junior.
- He serves as an expert on my market in regards to customer research.
- I found this person in the library and we exchanged phone numbers.
- He will help me with customer research in exchange for a role in the future company.
- His research skills warrant recognition and can be a great role in attaining customers and future employees for the company.
Tatiana has worked both in retail and has adapted social skills like no one I have ever seen.
- She will be an important supplier to the industry, due to her experience as a saleswoman.
- I found her in the library as well, however, we have known each other for a while now.
- She will help me push my product because of our prior friendship, and in exchange, she wants a piece of the company
- Her work on campus, in her job, and outside campus will deem to be very beneficial for the success of this company.
Final Reflection:
This experience has shaped my understanding of networking in a positive way. Not only did I get out of my comfort zone, but also reestablished friendships in order to reach a greater goal. This experience differed for here I had a specific goal in mind, whereas before I did not.
Hi Marco! You seemed to have met a lot of great people who will help you to expand your idea forward. It is always best to find a team of experts who can give you the right advice. Being that two of Jake and Tatiana are both looking to invest their time with an incentive of either a part of the company or creditability, you can trust that they will provide you with quality work. You are right to point how constructive networking is when creating a business.
ReplyDeleteHi Marco! I think that you reached out to people that would be able to give you a lot of extremely helpful insight. Networking is so important because everybody knows everybody. I also found one person online, except through Facebook. The internet is also essential for networking, which is why I value sights like LinkedIn so much. I also felt very positive about networking through this assignment and it really showed me how helpful others can be. This was a great post!

ReplyDeleteI think the experts you reached out to where perfect considering your potential product that you are developing. I think that connecting with Brad who has expertise in the transportation field will be especially beneficial to have in your network. After reading your reflection, I also had similar thoughts on this assignment. Although it put me out of my comfort zone to reach out to experts in different segments of business, it was good practice for the future and gave me a more positive outlook on networking. Great job!
