Existing Market
What I think is next for our business venture could possibly be Visa preloadable cards. People would have access to the funds they load on their member card and use it however they want to.
The following have already been informed of the business I am in. I asked the appropriate question asking their opinion of what we should be doing after.
Jade: "Maybe have the same system with cars?"
Mike: "Next do scooters with a premium price."
Tony "Sell relevant merchandise. That almost always goes well with the right brand"
The existing market customers were very straight forward with their opinions on where the company should grow. I believe the most plausible idea would be the merchandise. However, the scooters sound like a better idea. Cars, on the other hand, seems too excessive at the moment.
New Market
Again, I told these two people about my idea. They are retired people living on the other side of town.
Jake: The idea sounds phenomenal. We wouldn't directly benefit, however, better traffic would be nice. Scooters for the elderly would be something I am willing to invest in.
Jessica: Perfect idea. I would ask the city mayor to see if you can license some roads in Gainesville for promotion. Your idea is great, I don't have anything to contribute.
This new market was surprisingly helpful. What surprised me the most was the level of interest and genuine feedback I received from such an elderly demographic. My assumptions of an uninformed group of citizens were completely tossed out the window. The ideas they gave and advice and support were amazing.
Saying this, however, this new market was more supportive, but not really feasible. From what I mean from this is that even though they approve of the service, I do not see them actively using it. It is definitely not for them. The reason is that they are affluent elderly that don't need an affordable means of commute, especially when they are not in the best shape to conduct in such strenuous physical activity.
Hi Marco! I also found that my new market was helpful. It was really interesting to see their opinions and also gave me some insight of how I can make my product more likable for those outside of my target market. I was interested to read that your existing market was straight forward because I didn't pick that up from the people that I interviewed but it is also something that I didn't pay much attention to. Great post!
